Delivery Groups and PIs

Delivery Groups and PIs

In order to tackle the priorities the Partnership agreed to continue with the existing structure of Delivery Groups. Each delivery group comprises of managers and staff from across the partnership working together and looking at innovative ways to tackle the priorities.

The current delivery groups are:

  • Offender Management:
Aim: Reducing crime, cut re-offending and improve public confidence in the criminal justice system. Integrated Offender Management (IOM) targets offenders who present the highest risk to our communities and keeps offenders under constant supervision.
  • Drugs & Alcohol:
Aim: Developing Reading’s integrated service to reduce the level of alcohol and drug-related harm in Reading.
  • Hidden and hate crime:
Aim: Preventing incidents occurring through education and increase confidence in reporting and giving support to victims.
  • Acquisitive crime:
Aim: Reducing acquisitive crime (such as burglaries, robberies, vehicle crime) through target hardening
  • Reduce fear of crime and increasing confidence:
Aim: Raising awareness of the CSP’s work, tackling misconceptions, leading to a reduction in the fear of crime
  • Town Centre:
Aim: Ensuring a multi-agency approach to tackling crime and violence in the town centre particularly incidents arising from the night time economy

Linked to each priority is a set of performance indicators (PIs) and targets which are aimed at improving the quality of life for all Reading residents. Each delivery group is responsible for the PIs relevant to their area (although some may be across more than one group) and to ensure their actions contribute to achieving the PIs. An overarching Performance Monitoring Group monitor each groups progress.
